DeSantis proven right on COVID again

.

Nothing drives the liberal media crazier these days than Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Not even Donald Trump. So when DeSantis claimed that Florida’s COVID surge this past summer was seasonal, the media pounced.

“DeSantis blames Florida’s surge on ‘covid season.’ That’s misleading, experts say,” a Washington Post headline read.

Fast forward to last week, and the Washington Post seems to have changed its mind. “Covid-19 may have seasons for different temperature zones, study suggests,” a new headline reads.

“We think covid may be becoming endemic, meaning that it will stay within the human population, but we will see spikes based on where we are in a particular geographic point,” study author Antar Jutla told the outlet. “Regions like Florida, India, Africa — they are warm regions … They basically get hit by these waves, but at different times than what happens in the northern parts, the colder regions.”

Regions like Florida will get hit by waves when it is warm, huh? Where have we heard that before?

In addition to being right about the seasonal nature of COVID, DeSantis was also one of the first governors to implement a mask-optional policy for children in public schools successfully. Democrats and teachers unions predicted disaster. Instead, COVID cases fell statewide.
